After having worked in the marine industry since 2012, Nofziger Marine LLC was finally created in 2019. Prior to the creation of his own entity, owner and operator Martin also worked as a marine maintenance specialist for a shared business endeavor, O'ahu Boat Repair LLC, a subsidiary of O'ahu Custom Construction LLC. Though Martin, having owned two businesses in Hawaii and worked for both, covers all boat maintenance needs, he has become a specialist in fiberglass repairs, fiberglass construction, and specialty woodwork. He also helps boaters by providing comprehensive surveys so projects can be planned out efficiently.

In 2021, Teare decided to create Nofziger Marine Polynesie (Dba Nofziger Marine Polynesie), focusing more on yacht surveys, yacht sales, and as of 2022 becoming a dealer for ECHOTec Watermakers and Desalination Systems. This business aims to move away from labor intensive jobs and focus helping the sailor him/herself.

Teare

Owner/Operator of Nofziger Marine Polynesie & Sunshine Cruising Yachts Agent

Teare has lived her life on the ocean surfing and fishing, but she jumped head-first into the maritime industry in 2015. Since then, she's acquired her Master 100 USCG Captain's license with a sailing endorsement. She has captained a commercial dive boat for a season, and captained a delivery from Washington to Hawaii. She's also worked in boatyards doing a variety of maintenance jobs, but mostly specializing in finish painting and varnishing.

After the birth of their first baby, Teare has taken on a more remote role in the maritime industry. She is now an international Yacht Sales Agent with Sunshine Cruising Yachts, working for sellers and buyers. She also decided to open Nofziger Marine Polynesie to share her passion with her island home and, she still occasionally works on the ground sanding, painting, and varnishing. As of 2022, NMP became a pacific dealer for ECHOTec Watermakers, and have since aimed on helping boats across the vast pacific (and beach homes) solve their freshwater needs.

Martin

Owner of Nofziger Marine LLC

Martin has been on boats all his life, but his career in the marine industry started in 2012 on a traditional gaff-rig wooden schooner. Since then, his knowledge, craftsmanship, and experience has grown exponentially. He started two businesses in Hawaii, his personal marine maintenance and restoration business Nofziger Marine LLC., and a partnered venture, O'ahu Custom Construction LLC.

As of 2020, around 20,000 nautical miles of blue-water experience has accumulated under his belt, having crewed, skippered, and captained boats in the Pacific. He loves sharing his passion for sailing with others over a beer, and he'll continue repairing boats to help people live the lifestyle he loves!
